about us

First, apologies for the rather stale nature of this web site. This site was originally launched over two years ago as a quick, temporary site - unfortunately, little has been done in the interim. We realize that if you purport to offer something more than contact information, it should be kept current. Well, we do have some things up our collective sleeves, and a new web site to contain them is on the to-do list.

Hm...well, for starters, we're three New York City high school college students.

On the Internet (and off), we're supporters of open source and free software, and are members of NYLUG, the New York Linux User Group, and LXNY, New York's Free Software Organization. Of course, we're interested in many other things...collectively, in education, design, science, and culture, to name a few.

We know there's not much here at the moment, but there will be soon. As for the site's purpose, it's here to provide information about what we're up to - our projects, as well as some original content. It will also host some of our upcoming projects - hopefully exciting ones.

Design-wise, the reason for the extreme minimalism is that this was originally supposed to be a temporary site. Of course that was four months ago. Naturally, it's all hand-coded, and some content is generated somewhat dynamically by our software.

about our mission

No.

about the software used on this site

This site runs on open-source/free software, namely the Apache web server on the Debian GNU/Linux operating system.

In addition, there is custom software written by us in perl. Currently there's the weblog, and some assorted cgi's and Apache modules which will be open sourced when we feel that they would help, rather than hurt the open source community.
